Anti Biotics Drugs

Augmentin is a combination medication that contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanate. Amoxicillin fights bacteria in the body whereas Clavulanate potassium fights bacteria that are often resistant to penicillins and other antibiotics. This medication works by inhibiting cross-linkage of linear peptidoglycan polymer chain, that majorly constitutes both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria cell walls.   • Digoxin (digitalis, Lanoxicaps, Lanoxin), disopyramide (Norpace), or quinidine (Cardioquin, Quinaglute)
  • Ritonavir (Norvir) or zidovudine (Retrovir)

Consult your doctor in any of the following conditions:
  • If you are a frequent user of drinks containing caffeine or alcohol
  • If you smoke
  • If you use illegal drugs
  • If you are taking any other prescription and over-the-counter medications such as vitamins, minerals, herbal products

  • Feeling restless or hyperactive

    in your mouth

Consult your doctor, before taking this medication, in any of the following conditions:
  • If you are taking probenecid (Benemid) or warfarin (Coumadin)
  • If you are allergic to Ceclor or any of its ingredients
  • If you are hypersensitive to cephalosporins, penicillins, or other drugs
  • If you have a medical history of severe kidney disease, intestinal disease (colitis)
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Important safety information:
  • Take precautions while giving the medication to penicillin-sensitive patients because the cross-hypersensitivity among β-lactam antibiotics has been clearly documented and may occur in up to 10% of patients with a history of penicillin allergy
  • Store the medicine at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F), away from the reach of children

Ceclor Cd

  • If you are a frequent user of drinks containing caffeine or alcohol
  • If you smoke or use illegal drugs
  • If you are taking probenecid (Benemid) or warfarin (Coumadin)
  • If you are taking any type of minerals, vitamins, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors

Ceftin

Also known as Cefuroxime, Ceftin is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by fighting bacteria in your body. It is widely recommended for the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections such as laryngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and middle ear infections. Moreover, this medication is also effective in the treatment of infections of the ear, throat, sinus, lung, bladder and skin.

Ciloxan is the generic name for Ciloxanfloxacin and an oral antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. The medicine works by fighting different types of bacteria, it inhibits the reproduction of DNA that is essential for the survival of the bacteria. It is specially recommended for the treatment of various infections such as bone and joint infection, urinary tract infection, skin infection, abdominal infection, typhoid infection, sinus infection, lower respiratory tract infection, cystitis and prostatitis.

  • Oral steroid medication such as prednisone
  • Tacrine (Cognex)
  • Phenytoin (Dilantin)
  • Probenecid (Benemid)
  • Theophylline (Theo-Dur, Theolair, Slo-Phyllin, Slo-Bid, Elixophyllin)

Cipro

Cipro belongs to a group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by killing bacteria or stopping their growth. It is specially recommended to patients suffering from bacterial infections such as infections of bone, joints, skin, bladder (cystitis), urinary tract, lower respiratory tract, abdomen, sinuses and prostate.

Some important safety information:
  • Do not take the medication with dairy products such as milk or yogurt, or with calcium-fortified juice
  • Store at room temperature below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F)
  • Patient should keep a close eye on their blood sugar level while on medication
  • You should limit the intake of alcohol and alcoholic beverages while taking this medicine
  • You should not operate machine or drive vehicle while taking this medicine as it may make you feel dizzy

Cleocin

Cleocin is a topical antibiotic that works by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria that causes infections in the body.
